Organiser Jo Cartwright said: "It's important to help smaller organisations that don't get the same support as the national charities."
Harbour Place will have a stall where visitors can donate unwanted tins or packets of food.
Jo added: "Anyone is welcome to have a stall; we only ask for a donation to the good causes.
"Churches and other groups have fêtes, but there isn't much like this in the area where local charities can get a real boost."
The fête is being held on Saturday, July 14 from 11am to 5pm at the Ice House, in Victor Street.
