Indoor teams are on a roll at Louth
TWO rink triumphs out of five were enough for Louth Indoor Bowls Men's Over-60s to triumph on points aggregate at Grantham.
Louth's success on rinks four and two gave them a large enough margin.
On ring four, the team of Norman Stocks, Tony Saunders, Barry Southgate and Horace Cope raced into an 8-1 lead after five ends before being 32-9 ahead after the 21st. The ring two outfit of Geoff Tyler, Jon Utnage, Howard Hurst and Colin Smith managed 16 ends before the time up bell went – but they won 19-9.
The ladies' team hit great form in the Trudy Bates event, with wins on all but one of the rinks.
