Info on Hetty Withers nee Smith
I am looking for details of Hetty Withers (nee Smith).
She was my great grandmother, born in 1906 in Normanton, Yorkshire, but moved to Grimsby soon after.
Her father was Harry Smith a local butcher and her mother Hetty. Her sister was called Muriel Kathleen. Hetty married Alec Withers in 1928, a local teacher, and they had a son who was given up for adoption, my grandfather.
I do not know anything more of Hetty after this point. Any information on any of the names here would be greatly appreciated.

“Not knowing how much fully you already know here's what i've found.Alec Harman Withers born 1898 Cleethorpes married to Hetty Smith as you know in Glanford district, North Lincolnshire.Alec's parents John Thomas Withers born 1867 Lincoln and Ada Florence Harman born 1869 Cleethorpes.In 1901 John and family living at 9 Cross Street, Cleethorpes.John is a School Attendance Officer.
As for what's happened later Alec died in 1991 Bourne district, Lincolnshire.As to Hetty a bit of a mystery.Unless she's still alive there has only been one Hetty Withers dieing between 1916 and 2005 and she was born 1884 and died 1956 in Runcorn, Cheshire.Wether it's your Hetty is guesswork i'm afraid.It doesn't look like she re-married, certainly not under her Withers surname anyway.
