For eight years she has cut wigs for people who have lost their hair to life-saving chemotherapy while running the successful salon in Cleethorpes High Street.

"Taking semi-retirement means I can spend time doing them and helping people.

"Kelli and my son Ben have always been interested in the business. It is the right time to hand it over."

Kelli, 27, trained as an apprentice at Megs and has recently returned after having Casper, 3, and Indie, three months.

She hopes to bring new ideas to the salon, which Jenny has run for 14 years, and is looking forward to seeing old and new customers.

She said: "I started as an apprentice here in 2002. It is great being back; I have always wanted to get into the business side of things."

Jenny and her staff have raised £40,000 for Grimsby's Princess, Diana Of Wales Hospital's Pink Rose Suite.

Jenny added: "Kelli is an original Megs girl.

"While I found it hard at first to let go of the salon, seeing her do such a good job has made it easier."
