One Direction and a host of stars are featuring in The Beano Red Nose Day special. With David Tennant acting as Band Manager, Jessie J playing the part of Voice Coach and Olly Murs offering style advice, the celebrity collective helps Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx and a whole host of The Beano favourites perform their very own charity song.

Meanwhile, Alesha Dixon has teamed up with Mini Babybel to search for the nation's cheesiest joke. One lucky winner will be chosen by Alesha to tell their joke on national TV in the ad break. Post your jokes below - clean ones only please!

And television presenter Christine Bleakley and T-Spex, the Red Nose character, have also launched Sainsbury's nationwide search to find the UK's funniest face for Red Nose Day.

Let's put Grimsby on the Red Nose Day fundraising map!

“We are witnessing the usual build-up to that feast of amateurish comedy and pathetic self-promotion by third rate entertainers and BBC presenters and 'stars', who take it on themselves to tickle their vanity in the name of good causes. The BBC is a huge machine that has the capacity to raise money for charity in a proper way, without providing all sorts of mediocrities with a platform to plug themselves, yet it opts for a marathon of amateurish performances by people who don't even bother to try very hard as it's all in the name of charity and they are doing it for nothing, you see.Yeah, sure, and the free publicity worth a fortune for these creeps doesn't count here, does it? And we are bound to be treated to some cringing stuff from people like Lenny Henry and Dawn French and a bunch of pop have-beens, who will make an attempt to stage a comeback and fail miserably, as always. And there'll be some current pop acts in the spotlight as well: this year it's One Direction they tell me, who should have never been famous in the first place as they are s..t at what they do.This year the BBC is being more hypocritical than ever, after that Savile scandal and the way it suppressed its investigation. So the best thing to do would be to show two fingers to Red Nose Day this time round. Especially as the BBC still has questions to answer.Charity should be discreet and unpretentious. And as direct as possible, without too many middle men getting between the giver and the receiver.”
