Joiners fend off rivals to go top
HARNESS & Cooper Joiners beat title rivals Seymour & Castle to regain the lead in the Faulkners Audio Visual & Domestic Appliances Louth Billiards & Snooker League, writes Jack Westerby.
Andy Dunn and Martin Turner helped the Harness hosts to a vital 7-5 victory. Sean Fieldsend was victorious for Seymour.
Stunned Castaline relinquished top spot when they were beaten at third-from-bottom Louth Travel Centre. Terry Robinson, Ray Beszant and Mark Parrinder were all on form as Louth won 9-3.
Dales Poultry & Game moved up to fourth after a comeback 7-5 win against J Melton Painters. Mark Bullivant and Dave Revell put the visitors 4-0 up and seemingly on their way to victory – but Dales fought back and won thanks to Phil Marshall, Tony Stephenson and captain Pete Dales.

Kitchen Solutions' quest for a second consecutive title took a knock when John Scottorn, John Bartup and Keith Lewington gave Don Noble Bookmaker an 8-4 win.
GRS Electrical Services celebrated their first win of the campaign after beating Louth Building Supplies 7-5.
NT Shaw Citroen moved away from the bottom places thanks to an 8-4 victory.
MA Stephenson Autos have retained their one-point lead at the top of the Louth Billiards League.
The high-flyers beat Moran Travel, 3-0. Lee Cook, Hayden Gavey and Stuart Borman were all victorious.
Naulls & Dales also claimed a maximum win, with Phil Marshall, Jez Swaby and Mark Storey dispatching ABC Riding Wear.
Gary Brown and Sam Mountain kept Castaline in touch as they helped their side to a 2-1 win at Marris Carpets, who had Pete Beeton on song.
