HARNESS & Cooper Joiners hammered home a 9-3 win against J Melton Painters to take an early lead in the Louth Snooker League.

Ieuan Bullivant got the visitors off the mark, but Martin Turner, Nick Bailey, Step Taylor and Pat O'Reilly ensured the points went to the hosts.

Seymour & Castle stunned defending champions Kitchen Solutions with a 7-5 win.

Sean Lowe gave the away side a bright start only to see Steve Squires restore parity.

Sean Fieldsend edged Seymour back in front and they held on to clinch victory.

Louth Building Supplies delivered the goods to send NT Shaw Citroen crashing at home. Gary Skipworth just missed out on a ton, making a superb 95 for the hosts. Hayden Gavey was in good form for Louth but the away side secured victory though Derek Adlam, Henry McSpadden and Kyle Johnson.

Sibjon Builders triumphed 8-4 against Louth Travel Centre. Sid Bett (25) and Stan Larter got the Builders into the groove and they went on to win 8-4.

Dales Poultry & Game were beaten 8-4 at home against Don Noble Bookmaker. The away outfit were quickly out of the stalls with Dave Johnson in good form. Keith Lewington wrapped up the victory.

Castaline achieved an 8-4 triumph at league debutants GRS Electrical Services.

The hosts took an early lead through Kevin Fenwick, but Will Blythe, Matt Chandler and Richard Kissane reeled off the frames for Castaline.

Reigning champions Naulls & Dales suffered a disappointing start to their defence of the Louth Billiards League, losing 2-1 at newly-formed outfit Marris Carpets. Pete Beeton and Mark Parrinder inspired the victory, with Pat O'Reilly winning for Naulls.

MA Stephenson Autos enjoyed a 3-0 success against Castaline. Lee Cook, Andre Fisher and Hayden Gavey all found top gear to secure a maximum win.

ABC Riding Wear romped to a 3-0 victory against Moran Travel. Bob Strathern, Terry Espin and Mike Rice won the frames.
