Town managers to hold contract talks with players tomorrow
GRIMSBY Town's players will find out whether they have a future at Blundell Park at a series of meetings tomorrow.
The Mariners rounded-off a disappointing Blue Square Bet Premier campaign on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat at promotion-chasing Wimbledon.

Rob Scott and Paul Hurst
The result means Town finish their season in 11th place in the Conference table – a massive 43 points adrift of champions Crawley Town and 16 points from the play-off places.
And with the action on the pitch now done and dusted for 2010/11, joint bosses Paul Hurst and Rob Scott are quickly turning their attentions to next season and the make-up of their playing squad.

Hurst explained: "We'll speak with the players, and that will be every single player, whether they've got contracts or not.
"We'll be having a chat and telling them exactly where they stand. We're honest and we're not going to lie to people.
"With the lads that are under contract, it's entirely up to them to take on board what we say or they'll find themselves not in the side.
"Some of them may be comfortable that they're going to get paid but if they've got any pride about them they'll want to be in the side and one of the shining lights.
"Saying that, things can change very quickly. If someone comes back and impresses in pre-season and is flying, shows their commitment and ups their levels, then it's a fresh start.
"There's one or two who have done really well while we've been here and they will start on a better footing, but if they drop their levels then things will change for them as well.
"We'll talk to them about their future at club and then obviously we'll continue the search for new players and more enquiries will be made."
On the subject of new arrivals, Hurst warned Mariners fans not to expect an influx of players coming into the club just yet.
"On that side of things, I don't think too many people will be rushing to sign in the first week of May," he added.
"That's not how it works, we know that, but we'll be putting the feelers out there and speaking to the people that we'd like to bring to the club."
On the existing players the managers would like to retain for next season's tilt at promotion, Hurst was similarly frank.
"It's a long season, no matter where you finish, so they'll go away and get their rest," he said.
"When they come back there will be a lot of hard work – and we feel it may be harder than one or two are used to."

“The Penguin makes a good point, as to which one out of Laurel and Hardy makes the actual decision, perhaps they'll cut each other some slack.. the chances of them agreeing on everything is nil. this is why one man and one man only should have ever been appointed.”

“the only contracts that should be discussed are those of the 2 men in charge. Ended and torn up immediately.. these 2 will take the club even further down the football pyramid. Jokers....no place for Laurels or Hardy's at GTFC. Out now Hurst and Scott”
