Kaiser Chiefs star to take part in Humber Bridge scooter rally
I PREDICT A Riot - a song Kaiser Chiefs' Andrew White may well be singing as he unites with locals to smash the record for the world's longest scooter rally.
The Indie band guitarist, whose hits include I Predict A Riot and Oh My God, will be one of thousands predicted to be riding the length of the Humber Bridge on Saturday, August 14.

The event has been organised by the Grimsby And Cleethorpes Scooter Scene (GCSS) with the Yorkshire Scooter Alliance (YSA), which White is a member of.
If more than 548 scooters take part, it will smash the record for the world's longest scooter rally. Once over the bridge, the scooter riding star, of Leeds, will come to the Stamford Club in Grimsby, where he will camp.
GCSS committee member Jake Parker said: "To have Andrew White riding his scooter over the Humber Bridge and camping here will be amazing.

"We were absolutely stunned when we found out he was coming. I am a bit of a fan of the Kaiser Chiefs."
The GCSS will set off from the Stamford Club on Saturday morning.
They will cross the bridge and meet White with the YSA on the Hull side of the Humber Bridge. Then, both groups, lead by the star, will ride the two-mile stretch across the bridge in single file.
Mr Parker said: "It would be absolutely brilliant for the town if we broke the world record. To have it end up here would just be great and we are hoping people will come out and support us."
They will arrive in Grimsby at 5pm for a celebratory party at the Stamford Club with live entertainment by the Finnlys and the YSA DJs.
To kick off the festivities, Friday will also see the Stamford Club packed as band Ska Face take to the stage.

Due to the Kaiser Chiefs currently being on "downtime", White was unable to comment.

“and we did it. 875 scooters in an unbroken line. its a shame the car driver who felt it neccessary to cut into the line and wait two minutes, otherwise the record would have been 1200.”
