Latest step to attract renewables investment
MEASURES to attract renewable energy companies to invest in Grimsby could move a step closer today.
North East Lincolnshire Council's Cabinet will this afternoon be asked to approve the submission of a Local Development Order (LDO) for the Enterprise Zone on Grimsby Docks to the government.
The LDO will simplify the planning process for businesses on the site, removing the need to obtain outline planning permission for certain types of development.

It is only a matter of time before proximity to dangerous wind turbines, both onshore and offshore, causes injury or worse! Proximity to onshore units is not taken seriously by planners who clearly do not appreciate the energy involved in a turbine's explosive angular energy release! Similarly planners do not appreciate the random down wind plume of flaming debris from the not uncommon nacelle fires. following serious accidents/deaths, inquest findings will question planning department protocols placing the public, occupied buildings and road traffic in harms way. Any property in the vicinity of a wind turbine must surely lose value and attract massive insurance increases to cover the now frequently documented accidents and ballistic debris damaging nearby housing and roads with passing traffic.”
