Legal case launched against decision to close Leeds Children's Heart Unit
A LEGAL case has now been launched against the decision to close Leeds Children’s Heart Unit.
The regional Save Our Surgery campaign (SOS) which was set up to try and save the closure of the unit, has today announced it has applied to the High Court for permission for a Judicial Review.

Since the Joint Committee of Primary Care Trust’s (JCPCT) made the decision on July 4, SOS have tried alternative ways to prove the worthiness of the Leeds unit with no avail.

A High Court judge will now review the legal arguments and determine whether there are merits in the case to decide if the legal challenge can take place.
