“Use to love this event in the earlier years when it was free or just a minimal fee. You could take a bottle of wine a picnic and sit out relax with friends and family and enjoy some fabulous music, It use to be packed too in those days.
Now it has priced it's self outside (my zone anyway.) You also have to buy food and warm beer (yuk)and other so called cold drinks from their overpriced stalls.
Even with advanced booking, Me the wife and three children £70 and that's not including the extortionate drinks and food bill, you are probably looking at £100 for a evening out.
Sorry not on, I will listen to it from where I live nearby and take in the fireworks. Be interesting to see the numbers and if it makes a profit at theses prices I can't see it selling out.”

“If I am not wrong and I have been to the Proms in the park a few times in the past . They
normally take any bottles or cans off of you as you go in (HSE? or the event organiseres robbing you blind with their food and drink - 20 quid for fish and chips at the olympics) just in case you start chucking them about which would of course not happen in Grimsby & Cleethorpes. But anyone going should when and if they purchase a ticket get conformation that they can take in their bottle(s) of bubbly or cans of superstrenght larger (if that is their prefered tipple) before they hand over their hard earned cash a bottle of decent champers will knock you back 30 quid - so could turn out an expensive night out if all you end up with is a burger and warm cola.
Just my 2 pennies worth”

“Ok folks lets play the numbers game - after all it's only tax payers money
Great that the concert is being brought back after been away for several summers ( anyone want to go on record as to why ?)
So here goes ......
How much is it costing to put this event on ?
How meny tickets do you have to sell to break even ?
In previous events has the event broke even ?
If it hasn't then can the organisers explain why this event will be different and break even or create a surplus
Can you give us the attendance for the last three concerts ?
And finally will all costs associated with this event be able to be inspected by the general public
If this event was such an excellent money spinner I can't help but think Nelc would have more of a part in this event
Do the organisers expect to break even or return a surplus on this event ?
So let's have the numbers after all we are in troubled times and everyone should be accountable when spending tax payers monies - shouldn't they ?
I look forward to a reply from those who intend spending tax payers money”
