“Having been fortunate to travel round the UK a bit I can assure you there's far worse places than the Nunny.
However I feel really sorry for the honest residents who have to put up with the growing minority of idiots, some of whom we saw on the programme. I have to agree with buzzzz. Who the hell does Donna Howard think she is? What a moron. No control over herself or her lovely offspring. Where does she work? It can't be any sort of job that requires any type of thinking. She's an example of why the estate's on it's way down.”

“Sorry "ukreroofer" if I miss understood your previous comment that was not my intention. I don't have any personal grudges against the Hills or the work they do. In fact I have to say that although I don't agree with their practices but they do engage a large number of young people and put on some fantastic dance shows. However, at what expense and at what costs to other areas that are also struggling. I do hold the Hills sorely responsible the the situation in the Nunsthorpe purely because they involved TV companies for their own personal gain by showing Grimsby as a place which isn't as bad to what was shown on TV. I still this was all part of their big fundraising exercise to gain more money and the experience of others. The solution here is using the available resources that the area and start working together with others instead of competing... I was born in Grimsby, Live in Grimsby, Will die in Grimsby... THIS IS MY TOWN?”

“Deafman..im am fully aware people are entltled to opinions.if you read my comments clearly im highlighting my issues with people commenting whos lifesyles and communities are a milion miles away from the families on the nunny estate.people who have probably never stepped foot on the place and view every person on the nunny as scum as a drug dealer because of what they read.
Im not particulary interested in your obvious grudge with these Hills people and the church scenario..i dont even know who those people are or wat they do.My comments are on the estate in general and the incompetence of NELC.
Grimsby since the decline of industry has become a bad place like every other town city wat has lost a thriving industry Grimsby now is known as a bad place nationwide it dosnt need that highlighting out on a tv documentry..people already know.
What i do find difficult to accept is these Hills people alone have influenced a large tv company to film on the estate.Tv companies are out there in a market which is driven by viewing numbers and to me there has been much more influence/encouragement than from the Hills.
If you put your in charge of tv company business head on and without infuence/pressure from whoever;then surely you would have made a much more tastey version of the documentry and gone to one of the other towns/cities in the that have same scenario with these estates; but there are guns present.Theres hundreds of them.If we had a league table of worse estates UK then the nunny would be without a doubt hovering near bottom. When theres potentialy millions millions of pounds available its suprising what intetested parties will do with powers available to them to bring that money home. And i hope the council and band of merrymen and partners dont get it or it will be yet another step back.”

“Sorry "ukreroofer" people have the right to an opinion especially as Nunsthorpe Estate and Grimsby was shown national TV as very poor. I totally agree with your comments that all the council wants to do is hold a meeting and do nothing but the fact of the matter here is if Mr. Hill didn't go to ITV to help them with the story it wouldn't have generated the comments you are moaning about. I still say it this was just another fundraising exercise for Hill's? How many times have the funhouse been in the paper saying we facing closure, we facing closure, we facing closure. Possibility now, one too many, people are sick of it. It is projects like this what is also part of the problem, not working with other groups and wanting all the available funding themselves. One example of this is a comment I made the other day only to be accused of being a (Stockton follower) only for the person to be totally off the mark but then is was debate closed, no opportunity to work together to give a balance view.
At the end of the day the Hill's had planned to make the Nunsthorpe Estate and Grimsby look poor in the eyes of national TV whilst trying to show THEY are the ones making a difference and being a success only they are not a success because then you wouldn't have the situation that they owe thousands of pounds in rent that they had forgot to pay. Only now saying we have a letter saying that the church offered them it rent free? I challenge you Mr, Mrs Hill to publish this letter. It just a pity that the Hills exercise involving national TV as back fired. Time for a change, time for the funhouse to close. Only because a lot of questions about finance and safeguarding haven't been answered.”

“Firstly apologies to all the good decent families living on the Nunny..for morons comments re knock the nunny down..blow it up etc..they live in a bubble in thier little mortgaged/paid for homes which they leave each morning to go to there secure little jobs while there kids go to there good standard catchment area schools ..beit Cleethorpes.Humberston.Waltham..Tetney they live.i suggest they save comments for crime.drug dealing.vandalism going on on there own door step.
Secondly.why is Nunny getting quite a lot of Tv coverage lately in those police helicopter programes and the latest documentry..probably because local council/authority and local big wigs are encouraging it to strengthen there case applying for yet another EEC Regeneration multi million pound pot of gold to waste and dwindle away.Theyve failed once to improve life on the estate..because they are all out of touch with the world and dont see any further than sitting round tables having non productive meetings while eating chocolate biscuits..the most important issue in there head being wat company car to have next year.
Im sure there are issues on the estate..The council have created the issues because at end of day they have quite happily .year after year..put very bad eggs in amongst a lot of good eggs.Ive worked the regen projects on the nunny the yarboro..and ive been in every flat in all 6 blocks of the multi stories..on heating upgrade project..you get talking to a lot of the residents naturally as part of the job..they all know whats sending the estates etc spiralling down hill..the council.
All NELC are interested in is money for nothing..dwindling half of it away and the rest gets wasted on short term fix.Theyve incompently wasted millions .they cannot cope with the scenario on nunny they created. They couldnt cope with heroin epidemic so they brought police in from manchester to clean up..short term.
Bring in professional independant body in to evaluate the problems and sort out for good plus let them manage any funding thrown at the cause”

“I have just watched the program as I missed it the other night.
No wonder the estate has problems with ferral yobs when you have parents like Donna Howard setting an example. She is an absolute disgrace who should have been put down at birth.”
