“As a member of the Save The Bath's group ,I would like to thank GT , and our local MPs for providing the forum for the public to make their views known . It's more than the Labour administration did with their consultation ! The Labour group have virtually taken over all decision making by majority representation , excepting their electorate who they ignore !
If Cllr Shaw and his fellow Labour councillors had perused the petition presented by our group , and taken note of the addresses given , they were from all over NELincs ! The thousands who signed all want to save the pool where it is ,refurbish insitu ! When the economy improves in the future a rebuild is possible on the present carpark ,keeping the pool open. Then a new carpark can be provided with traffic light access already installed ,possibly with a housing development in mind , am I being cynical ? The whole of the Barretts could be incorporated into a twenty first century leisure facility for the people of NELincs to be proud of, and become the focus of health and wellbeing Cllr Burnett , isn't that your mandate ?”
