OLYMPIC athlete Anthony Whiteman will be putting our Win A Wedding couple through their paces to help them get in tip-top shape for their big day.

As reported, Win A Wedding, launched by the Ashbourne Hotel in North Killingholme and Pronuptia in Grimsby, is offering one lucky couple a prize wedding worth more than £13,000.

And former Olympic athlete Anthony wants to make sure that the bride and groom look at their best when they tie the knot.

Anthony, 38, of Scartho, revealed that the idea of a pre-wedding keep-fit programme came to him after he was asked by a client to help her squeeze into the dream wedding dress.

He said: "If you look in great shape in the photographs then it's going to make your memories of the day even better.

"As well as having the best dress and the best cake, you can also look at your best on your wedding day."

Anthony, who ran the 1,500 metres for Great Britain in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games, said the programme will be tailored to meet the needs of his clients.

He said: "If they want to work hard and be shouted out, that's fine. But equally if they just want to go out for a 30-minute run and de-stress, then that's fine too.

"This is not some programme I am going to force on them.

"Win A Wedding is all about letting the bride and groom decide what they want for their big day, and that's what makes it such a great competition."
