Louth man appears in court charged with attempted murder
A SHIFT worker from Louth has appeared in court charged with attempting to murder his girlfriend.
Kevin Roberts, 52, of Bramley Close, Louth, is alleged to have strangled Amanda Jones during the early hours of Sunday 2 September.
Miss Jones, also 52, was taken to hospital with a number of injuries after police were called to her home in Goodwood Close, Louth.
No pleas were entered during the hearing at Lincoln Crown Court, and Judge Michael Heath remanded Roberts into custody. He will next appear for a plea and case management hearing on November 23.
