Lowe's last laugh as Cleethorpes Town hit back at Knaresborough
TIM Lowe equalised from the penalty spot with the last kick of the game as Cleethorpes Town snatched a dramatic draw at Knaresborough.
The Owls were trailing 2-0 away to a team on a seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions – before a remarkable two-goal blast saved Andy Liddle's men.
Captain Darren Hanslip pulled one back for Cleethorpes with two minutes to go before Lowe levelled from the spot at the death.
The point ensured Clee held on to second spot in the Northern Counties East League Division One – and they kept pace with leaders Athersley Recreation, who drew 4-4 against Albion Sports.

Cleethorpes started slowly but, after Marc Cooper struck the bar with a header, Jonathan Oglesby's curling shot had to be tipped over the bar by the home team's goalkeeper.
The resulting corner, however, was poor – and Knaresborough scored on the break. Paul Eagling netted, on 38 minutes, but Cleethorpes felt aggrieved as they believed defender Lowe was pushed on the goal-line.
Scott Drury had to make a smart save to keep Cleethorpes in it just before half-time.
The hosts started the second half well and doubled their advantage – again from a counter-attack – when former Leeds United professional Seb Carole slotted past Drury.
Boss Liddle made a triple substitution and switched to a 3-4-3 formation as Cleethorpes went for broke in the final five minutes.
They had a lifeline when Hanslip nodded home with two minutes left.
On the Owls' net attack, striker Ricky Belding was brought down in the box and the visitors were stunned to see their penalty appeals waved away by the referee.
But when Jason Flint ran into the box in injury time and appeared to have his heals clipped, this time the match official pointed to the spot.
Lowe stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way and, as the ball hit the net, the referee blew for full-time.
Incensed by the penalty decision, one Knaresborough player was sent off for protesting after the final whistle.
