Makofo departs Mariners
GRIMSBY Town have today released Congolese winger Serge Makofo by mutual consent.
The 25-year-old joined the Mariners from Kettering in January 2011 on a three-year deal.
However, the former MK Dons trainee was deemed surplus to requirements by joint bosses Rob Scott and Paul Hurst who told the player that he was free to look for a new club back in May last year.
The club announced this lunctime that the player has now left the club by mutual consent.
