Man found in possession of dangerous Dogo Argentino dogs is charged
OFFICERS in Grimsby have charged a man who was found to be in possession of a number of dangerous dogs.
As reported, a 56-year-old man was arrested after a warrant was executed at an address in Chelmsford Avenue, Grimsby, on November 2.
Four adult dogs, believed to be Dogo Argentino, which are prohibited in the UK and can only be owned with a licence, were seized from the address, along with a litter of puppies.
The man has now been charged with one count of breeding from fighting dogs.
He also faces a total of 10 counts of being in possession of a fighting dog. He has been released on bail and is due to appear to Grimsby Magistrates’ Court in early December.
