Marcus Marshall returns to Grimsby Town for the rest of the season
MARCUS Marshall is back at Grimsby Town - and is available to go back into the side that faces Cambridge United tomorrow.
Bury boss Kevin Blackwell had hoped to recall Marshall from his loan spell at Town – with a view to selling him to Luton.
-

Marcus Marshall is back with the Mariners.
But the recall clause in the season-long loan is thought to be invalid – so Marshall is now back at Blundell Park for the rest of the season.
The news is sure to further infuriate Blackwell – who yesterday accused Grimsby Town of being ‘underhand’ in their attempts to keep hold of the winger.

“One might speculate as to the definition of "underhand" in Kevin Blackwells dictionary.
In my dictionary it say nothing about insisting on the enforcement of a contract signed in good faith by all parties concerned. Perhaps Bury should pay more attention to what is signed in the name of their club next time.”

“Back where he is wanted by the managers team mates and fans. Bury only recalled him to sell him and he didnt agree terms with Luton anyway. Marcus maybe has ambition and chose to stay with the league leaders....

“Fantastic news! Quality signing. As for luton, they could of offered him more money ,but were not going to be talking hundreds more than gtfc,he lives in the north ,so is £100 more a week - tax worth the hassle of driving to to luton and missing his family? Im only guessing? Hope you enjoy it here marcus !”

“Its great news as long as he wants to be back here. Luton, no doubt could have offered him a great deal. Lets hope if he can be part of a promotion winning side he'll want to stay long term. Hes a player who has improved with each game he has played for us, lets hope that continues.”
