Grimsby Town pitted against Buxton in FA Trophy
NORTHERN Premier League side Buxton will be the visitors to Blundell Park for Grimsby Town’s first involvement in this season’s FA Trophy.
Today’s draw saw the Mariners handed a home tie for the first-round proper on Saturday, November 24.
While Town reached the quarter-finals of last year’s competition, it is the Bucks’ first time at this stage for 23 years following their 2-0 success at Stamford on Saturday.
Buxton currently sit 11th in the Northern Premier League table – two steps below the Mariners in the non-league pyramid.

“Its good that the club are letting kids in for free with paying adults, this way makes it affordable for families that want to come to the match but cannot always afford it.It is better to see BP with a good crowd than stands looking half empty and not much atmostphere, after all its the kids that get the crowd motivated at times.....good of you GTFC!! (can you do it for the Buxton game the following saturday too)UTMM.”
