Mariners voucher giveaway for survival fight
"CREATING a brilliant atmosphere that will help the team to turn the corner is more important to the club than making money"
Those were the words of Steve Wraith, accounts manager at Grimsby Town FC as he launched the giveaway of thousands of money-off vouchers as part of the Be There or Blue Square campaign.

The vouchers – which entitles the bearer to take their place in any stands for just £10 – will be distributed throughout Grimsby and Cleethorpes during this week, in the run up to the Mariners' home clash with Bournemouth on Saturday.
The money off scheme will run until the end of the season as vouchers will be redeemable against ticket prices for all five of the Mariner's crucial remaining home games.
To get your voucher, find out more about the campaign and meet our latest Community Champion – check out today's Grimsby Telegraph.
And, if you can spot Captain Peacock, you may be in with the chance of bagging one of three fantastic Mariners prizes worth up to £200.

“Why dont the thousands of Moneychester United fans in Grimsby sell their shirts and start supporting their own team instead of glory hunting.”

“I wouldn't even pay £5 to watch Grimsby Town pay....absolutely awful team to watch. I'd rather spend that £5 on something more interesting like watching a movie or something.
I'm afraid to say that Grimsby Town will be relegated this season in the non league. Can't exactly attract the right kind of players to the club especially in this part of the region. Not many players wanna come to GY as it isn't situated ideally anywhere except Hull or Lincoln.
Sorry town but your going down.....best get prepared for next season!”

“Grimmi, here
My you're a nasty sort. I've just got back having been working for an hour or so (another hectic day). Some of my coleagues showed me what you'd put earlier, now deleted.
Please do try and be nicer to people, especially your betters i.e. everybody.
Stop letting your jealousy and anger eat you up.”
