Market Rasen charity shop re-opens after flood
A Market Rasen charity shop that was forced to close after a bungled burglary flooded it last year is back open.
The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust shop in Queen Street has been re-fitted and re-stocked - and is already doing a booming trade.

Volunteer manager for the past 18 years Margaret Lakin-Whitworth said it was great to be back after more than a month off work. She said: "It's great to be back open - at least I know what day it is now! We've been open since Tuesday and have been really busy, which is fantastic."
The shop was left ankle-deep in water at the end of November after a failed attempt by thieves to steal copper pipes from the flat above.
Water poured through the ceiling destroying £4,000 of stock and causing another £2,000 of damage.
Margaret and the other five volunteers who help run the charity shop were devastated as it missed out on Christmas trade. But it is making up for it now, having been re-stocked with new clothes, bedding, curtains and furniture.
Shoppers will be able to browse in fresh surrounding, as the shop has also had a complete refit, with new ceiling, carpets, till and counter.
Margaret said: "This week has been great. People have bringing new things in and asking for stuff, which we put in a request book and then ring round other branches and try and locate.
"We also deliver to surrounding towns and villages, as far away as Louth."
The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust charity shop in Market Rasen opens daily from 10am to 3pm, except Thursday when it's 10am to 1pm. It is closed on Sundays.
