Matty Chapman and Mary Keal are crowned the Laceby champions
THE Manor Golf Club, Laceby, held its annual Club Championships over two days.
Matty Chapman emerged as champion with a gross 158, two shots ahead of Mark Allonby and Robert Mackay.

The women's champion, on 190, was Mary Keal, with captain Lynn Waddingham runner-up on 192.
King Rabbit, on 182, was David Wright and in second place was Geoff Buttery on 187.
David Wright took advantage of the conditions to record an excellent 85-23=62, setting himself up to win the Men's Manor Trophy with a net score over the two days of 136, four shots ahead of runner-up Steve Reilly.
The Ladies' Manor Trophy winner was Josie Hallam, on 148, just one shot ahead of Jane Patterson.
Nathan Thompson claimed the Junior Manor Trophy with a net 143, while Ryan Smaller came second on 148.
The Seniors' Manor Champion was Geoff Buttery on 147, with Mick Watson second on count-back.
The Manor Plate, for the best net score on the second day, was won by Steve Woolnough on 70, with Reilly second on 71.
Meanwhile, the club had a successful day at Boston West Golf Club when members of the women's section competed for the Janet Loveday away day trophy.
The winner, with 40 points and a reduction in handicap, was vice captain Josie Hallam.
Second was Mary Keal with 37 and third was Chris Hutchinson with 35.
The club held its annual Senior Open in good conditions, with a total of 114 taking part.
The Manor's new professional, Dayne Hawkins, agreed to present the awards.
The competition format was a pairs betterball.
Results: 1, Derek Smith and Alf Kolberg, 45; 2 Keith Price and Brian Ramsden, 44; 3, Phil Thompson and Geoff Appleyard, 43; 4, Glyn Johnson and Geoff Garside, 42.
The Lincolnshire branch of the Lady Taverners held its fifth annual charity golf day at Kenwick Park.
The charity focuses on giving young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance. A specially adapted minibus, previously presented to SENSE of Louth, was on-site to illustrate one of their fundraising initiatives.
Teams had to count two scores on all the holes, except the 6th and 16th, where all four counted.
The winners, with an impressive score of 100 points, were the Riojas, consisting of Robert Jones, Steve Furness, Tim Morrell and Martin Maslin.
The Total team of Nigel Barr, Andrew Greetham, Andy Skinner and Simon Gaunt were a close second with 99. The HWCA team of Jenny Toulson, Sue Sykes, John Woodhead and Steve Atkinson took the third spot with 95 on countback.
The nearest the pin prizes went to Shirley Strickland on the 12th and Oliver Cookson on the 8th.
Sue Sykes had the longest drive for the women on the 9th, and Paddy Shillington won the men's on the 18th.
Market Rasen's women's section held a summer fundraising competition in aid of Macmillan Nurses.
At least £830 was raised through competition entry fees, raffle and donations.
The winner was Tilly Lawrence with 39 points from second-placed Lesley Brewis on countback. Third was Liz Wride.
Meanwhile, a bogey/par competition saw the women trying to 'beat the course'.
Rhona Bradford was the winner, beating the course by two and securing a reduction in her handicap by one.
Rebecca Ross also beat the course by one to take second place.
The Dring Medal was won by Jackie Parker with an impressive 95-28=67. Second was Rhona Bradford, with 96-28=68.
The final play-off for the Lacey Rose Bowl was completed. The winners were Linda Reeve and Lorna Moore, who beat Sharman Scott and Geraldine Johnson.
