The Meggies, now fourth in the Midlands 4 East (North), lost 18-16 to Ashfield.
Meanwhile, Grimsby made it back-to-back wins at Springfield Road with a 12-7 triumph against Southwell.
The Blues once again bounced back from a defeat on the road in the Midlands 3 East (North) with a home win.
