Long Eaton, who are fourth, will then visit North East Lincolnshire on March 2.

And a trip to league leaders Boston awaits the Meggies on March 9.

Running in the tries for Cleethorpes against Horcastle were Matty Searle, Matty Stinson, Dan McDaid, Scottt Brown and Craig Knight.

The only sour note was a nasty to injury to McDaid. He tore his hamstring, bringing his Cleethorpes career to a premature end as he is moving to Australia in three weeks' time.

Cleethorpes' Adam Fanthorpe said: "Dan has been an excellent servant to the club.

"We played well against a strong-willed Horncastle but despite the score, we know we will have to improve against Worksop."

Players are reminded that training takes place at 6pm this evening.

Cleethorpes RUFC 2nds visit North Hykeham 2nds on Saturday for a Lincolnshire Merit League clash.
