Despite hard-fought matches against the Woodhall Spa team, they lost in the morning round 4.5-1.5.

Woodhall went on to win the afternoon round against Kenwick 4.5-1.5 and will compete against the Southern League winners at Belton Park.

The ladies played a EWGA medal and again three ladies came in with net 74.

Taking the winners spot this week was Gill Blakey, with Gill Kapka in second place and Chris Reid in third – all on exact handicap and count-back.

The senior men enjoyed a great morning of golf by taking part in the monthly Stableford.

Fifty-three men played but the winner in division one was Roy Bull with Colin Staniforth taking the runners-up spot on countback from Dave Walker.

In division two, Brian Sinclair posted the winning score with Peter Oliver runner-up.
