Milton's quirky show was a delight
ONE-LINER comedians... you either love 'em or you hate 'em.
Milton Jones is, without doubt, one of the kings of quick-fire gags. In fact, he is so clever that he often doesn't finish them, leaving you to fill in the gaps and, therefore, letting you laugh in your own time.
His near sell-out show in Grimsby was a delight, with its customary quirkiness and illustrations beamed from an old-school projector.
Without giving away too much of his material, here is an example (although it is all in Milton's sterling delivery): "My grandmother has been downsizing. She's now in a little urn."

With able support from up-and-coming act Chris Martin, the gig was really good fun – and just about long enough for me. It can be rather hard to concentrate on so many (sometimes ultra intelligent) one-liners for a long time.
It's always a pleasure to experience live comedy, and I was chuckling to myself for some time afterwards.
