Charitable bikers gear up for annual St Andrew's Children's Hospice fundraiser
BIKERS are gearing up for an annual charity motorcycle run which has so far raised £24,000 for poorly children.
The Louth Friends of St Andrew's Children's Hospice are inviting motorcyclists from all parts of Lincolnshire and beyond to join them for the ninth annual motorbike run.

This year's run takes place on Sunday and the organisers hope it will be the biggest and best yet to raise more money for the hospice in Peaks Lane, Grimsby.
The main organiser is Michael Lee of the Louth Friends Group, who said: "We are hoping bikers from across the area and beyond will turn out to support the event.

"In previous years, about 300 bikes have taken part and it would be great if people joined us again this year.
"All money raised by the event goes directly to the hospice which provides care for children and young adults from across the county who have progressive, life-limiting illnesses."
Keeping the hospice open currently costs about £3-million a year, with only 13 per cent coming from statutory funding. Mr Lee continued: "The hospice provides an invaluable lifeline to the families who use it and events like this are needed to help raise the money needed to keep it going."
The run will set off from Willingham Woods, near Market Rasen, at noon on Sunday and head for the Red Lion at Redbourne.
The bikes will leave the Red Lion at approximately 1.15pm and then travel to Nettleton Lodge, the pub in the wood at Caistor.
At about 2.15pm, participants will set off for their final destination, The Royal Oak, also known as The Splash, in Little Cawthorpe, near Louth, for a barbecue.
There will also be the opportunity to bid for a pair of VIP tickets for a British superbikes event, and there will be other top prizes in the grand raffle.
Get on your bike
To take part costs £5 per bike, all of which goes directly to the hospice. Bikers may join at the start or at any of the stop-off points on the route.
