COUNCIL leader Chris Shaw has been accused of living in a “fantasy land” following his outspoken attack on the chief executive of Hull City Council.

Councillor Shaw claimed at the recent full council meeting that Darryl Stephenson still bore a grudge against the Labour group from his time as interim chief executive at NELC in 2004.

But in response Mr Stephenson said: “Councillor Shaw appears to have engaged mouth before brain again but I wish him well in his particular fantasy land.

“If he has a problem with me representing the interests of the citizens of Hull I would prefer it if he raised that face-to-face and not via a stab in the back from a distance.
