A TOP Hollywood actress has thrown her support – and part of her wardrobe – behind Dress For Success 2012.

Natashca McElhone, who stared in the Truman Show alongside Jim Carrey, has donated a camel Nicole Farhi pencil dress to the campaign.

As reported, Dress For Success is a drive to collect as many good-quality items of clothing as possible to donate to residents of Grimsby's Women's Refuge.

Many of the women who flee domestic violence to take shelter at the refuge do so with little more in the way of possessions than the clothes on their backs.

And when they come to attend job interviews or court hearings with a view to moving their lives in a more positive direction, they rarely have anything suitable to wear.

Last year, more than 2,000 items of clothing were donated to the campaign and celebrities such as Sara Cox and Anthea Turner showed their support.

Waterloo Road actress Roxanne Pallett and TV presenter Gabby Logan have already donated items to this year's campaign – and now Natashca has joined them.

Mum-of-three Natashca, who was born in London, said: "Women's Aid does a fantastic job for victims of domestic violence in the North East Lincolnshire region and I am delighted to be able to help out.

"It is wonderful to know that my clothes are going to great homes and I hope they go some way into helping these brave women get back on their feet and feel more confident about the future."

The 42-year-old has enjoyed a glittering career, with early appearances in popular UK TV shows such as Absolutely Fabulous and Bergerac. More recently, she has appeared in the successful American TV series Californication with David Duchovny.

She has also starred in numerous movies, including Solaris with George Clooney and Ronin with Robert De Niro and Jean Reno.

If you would like to join Natashca in supporting Dress For Success, get rummaging in your wardrobe and drop off any suitable garments at the Customer Services desk in Freshney Place before Monday, March 5.

In return, you will receive a 10 per cent off voucher to be used in selected retailers at Freshney Place, including: Topshop, In The Pink jewellers, Dorothy Perkins, Angelia Shoes, Ceasefire and Extreme Clothing.
