​CAISTOR now has three new councillors after voters flocked to the polls.

As reported, the by-election was called to fill three vacant seats on Caistor Town Council, following the resignation of three former councillors.

The vote saw former town mayor Councillor Alan Caine top the poll, with Mike Stopper and Rick Sandham also elected.

The full result was:

Alan Caine, 467 votes.

Stuart Davey, 361 votes.

Rick Sandham, 434 votes.

Mike Stopper, 444 votes.

The turnout was 31.85 per cent with 689 voters casting their votes.
