New Grimsby Town signing Tom Naylor 'gives cover in many areas’, says Paul Hurst
TOM Naylor could make his Grimsby Town debut in tomorrow night’s Conference clash with Ebbsfleet United.
The Derby County defender joined the Mariners for the remainder of the season on Friday.
Joint boss Paul Hurst says the 21-year-old will strengthen Town in a number of areas.
“There was a little bit of interest from us, but it didn’t look like it was going to happen,” Hurst explained.

“A week or so later, they got back in touch and said they would like to do it, so from our point-of-view, it’s pleasing that he’s decided to join us and try to help us in our quest to gain promotion.
“Whether he goes straight in tomorrow or not, is something we’ll have to decide.
“He can play right-back and centre-back, and we saw him play a couple of years ago in midfield, where he was outstanding. He gives us a cover in different areas. There’s no doubt he’s good enough.”
