New Ofsted report on previously 'inadequate' Cleethorpes school shows improvement
ST ANDREW'S College is no longer 'inadequate', according to an Ofsted inspection in February.
The Cleethorpes school, which is planning to convert to an academy, was put in the 'requires improvement' category by an inspector who visited on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 5 and 6.

It is an improvement on the last inspection in February last year, after which the school was given notice to improve because achievement – and therefore overall standards – were deemed 'inadequate'.

“Well done to the staff and most of the pupils at St Andrews for the improvements over the last 12 months.
I have 2 children at this school, and although there's still work needed, the improvements to the school since the appointment of a new head have been many and give the place a future not seen since the farce of the merging”

“Inspector: 'Yes, this LEA comprehensive school is inadequate. Much needs to be done to improve things'.
Headmaster: 'Did I mention we were changing the name of the school to something religiousy?'
Inspector: 'Tell me more...'
Headmaster: 'And we are going to be become an academy....?'
Inspector: 'That's more like it. Job done. Now we'll give you a needs improvement rating this year, and then from next year it's top marks all the way'.
