"THIS facility could be used by any one of us in our lifetime."

This was the message from Kevin Bond, the director of mental health at North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus, at the official opening of a new £14-million state-of-the-art hospital in Grimsby.

As reported, Harrison House is one of four buildings in Peaks Lane replacing the current mental health facilities at the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital. The new facilities also offers accommodation and living quarters for service users.

Following a sneak preview in yesterday's Telegraph, dozens of people gathered at the site for the launch and a guided tour yesterday – read the full story in today’s Grimsby Telegraph.

“I would just like to say, what a great place this is going to be, great surroundings, much better than the hospital. Well done to all those who work in mental health, especially those who work at Tukes. I have met Kevin Bond, what a lovely man, very down to earth.”
