A NEW gift shop for fledgling local businesses to showcase their wares has been given the thumbs-up.

Gallery 352 is an E-Factor-led scheme offering budding entrepreneurs the chance to rent shelf-space to display their products.

As reported, it is hoped the shop will act as an "incubator" to help traders grow their business before eventually moving into their own premises.

The store, based at the E-Factor premises in Pelham Road, opened in time for Christmas shopping.

William Harty, E-Factor's business development manager, said: "It is for existing retailers who are looking for a different market, or potential retailers who have maybe tried craft fairs and want to sell in a different environment."

Traders will be able to rent two metres of shelf-space for £10 per month, which equals to 24 days of trading.
