OLD Nicks Tavern has a selection of bands and music on this month to suit all musical tastes.

The pub, in North Street, Horncastle, has jam and open mic nights on Tuesday evenings – and all musicians are welcome.

Backing will be provided, which includes a drum kit, bass amp plus guitar amp. Take your own instruments and rock out from 8.30pm.

On Saturday, January 12 Old Nicks welcomes back Sheffield band Firegarden who perform classic rock/progressive/funk.

With a multitude of influences, from classic seventies rock to absolutely anything that excites your ears, they start at 9pm.

Get ready to party with The Rumble Band on Saturday, January 19, who play the sounds of the sixties and seventies.

They will be playing songs from bands such as The Beatles, The Hollies, The Searchers, Credence, Kinks, T-Rex, The Who, Elvis Costello and many more. It starts at 9pm.

Get your best vocals at the ready for Karaoke with Malc on Friday, January 25. It is for all you wannabe singers out there and for those that can belt out a number or two.

It starts at 8.30pm.

Rocking the pub on Saturday, January 26, will be The Legendary Night Owls who will perform Chicago blues.

This five piece hard driving, ultra tight band from Louth, features front man Ken Mayle who gives an outstanding performance on harmonica and vocals.

They are truly in keeping with the spirit of the blues and they will be playing songs from artists such as Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Jimmy Witherspoon, Otis Rush, John Mayall and many more.

It is a 9pm start.
