No1 hit top spot by blitzing struggling Bradley

NO1 B moved into top spot in Wednesday division three of the Grimsby, Cleethorpes & District Pool League after hammering struggling Bradley Boozers 11-1.

S Clifford got the only frame for the home side.

Standard dropped to second when they entertained Bradley None Smokers, the visitors taking a 5-3 lead into the interval before sharing the doubles for a 7-5 win.

Royal Oak went into the break 5-3 ahead at The Fish. They then shared honours in the doubles giving them a 7-5 away win.

Crosland earned themselves another two points when they played host to Spiders Web B, getting the better of the singles and sharing the doubles for a 7-5 win.

Mary's Misfits came back empty-handed when they visited HLCCC, Sue Turner, Donna Scales, pictured, and Ginny Drant getting the only three frames for the visitors, with the home side winning 9-3.

A bottom-of-the-table clash in Tuesday division one, saw bottom side Clee Social Santos, who were a player short, claim a point at close rivals Buddies Guddies.

Both sections were shared for a 6-6 draw.

Swashbuckle Pirates made the short trip to play Sunnyside A, and had both points in the bag by the end of the singles dropping just the second frame to Neil Fletcher, before sharing the doubles for a 9-3 win.

Clee Cricket Club batted themselves into an 8-4 win when they entertained Laceby Legion getting the better of both sections.

It started off as a close match at Blossom Way, when they played host to Keelby Kings, both sides sharing the honours in the singles at 4-4.

But the visitors crowned the night off taking the first three doubles for a 7-5 win.

It looked the same at the Jube where Bluestone were the visitors and it was all square at 4-4 by the end of the singles.

But the visitors won the last three doubles for a 7-4 victory.

A top-of-the-table clash in Tuesday division two saw visitors New Empire A go top with an 8-4 win at Mayflower Pilgrims, getting the better of both sections.

Cue World Crackpots were held to a 6-6 draw by struggling Solway Club both sections being shared.

Kingsway Club visited Clee Social Nutters, and went into the interval 5-3 up, eventually winning 7-5.

Metalheads in Tuesday division three, closed the gap at the top when they entertained Hope & Anchor, taking all but one singles, S Grayson getting the one for the visitors.

Anchor got the better of the doubles for an 8-4 home win.

Alley Cats turned up at Seven Seas Hurricanes with only six players and paid the price.

Although they shared the available singles and took a doubles game, they went down 8-4 overall.

Station Hotel were a player short when they visited Grimsby Tryers, but still earned a 10-2 win.

Sunnyside B travelled to Casablanca, and got the better of both sections for an 8-4 win.
