OPINION: Fixture pile-up will test Town's squad
AFTER being lucky with postponements while their rivals suffered earlier in the season, Grimsby Town could be facing a mini fixture pile-up in 2013.
The postponement of the re-arranged game at Gateshead tonight means that the Mariners have already seen three games fall by the wayside so far this season.
While there have been no cancellations at Blundell Park this season - despite one of the wettest years on record, the Heed clash and the festive fixture with Mansfield will all have to be re-arranged.
It means that Town's promotion run-in is about to get busier and the congestion is sure to test the strength and depth of the Mariners squad.

“Not really a problem if the game is played in or after march. Hearn will be back :)
