Old Pavilion site to take delivery of new flagpole
A FLAGPOLE will be erected on the site of the Old Pavilion, Keelby Parish Council announced at its February meeting.
At the meeting, parish councillors were also told by County Councillor Tony Turner, there would be no advanced notification given as to when the gulley emptier and mechanical street sweeper would be available to come to the village.
The news caused concerns from councillors, but district councillor Owen Bierley reassured them the sweeper will continue to be programmed to support organised community led initiatives. He also pledged to clarify whether third party liability was covered by the parish council or West Lindsey District Council. Councillors also expressed their concern about Anglian Water's response on surface water disposal, in which the water company said it had rectified any problems and no further action was required.
However, the council heard positive discussions have been made between Kier Architecture and West Lindsey Planners on the proposed extension to the cemetery in the village.
