Attending the youth hub will give young disabled people the opportunity to improve their social skills and make new friends.
It boasts two further classrooms and a second ICT suite, plasma screens, games equipment and changing facilities.
The centre currently has more than 80 volunteers a week coming through its doors to help service users, around 75 per cent of which are aged between 16 and 25.
Councillors, volunteers and representatives from numerous organisations filled the hub for the grand opening yesterday.
Wheelchair racer baroness Grey-Thompson unveiled the plaque and said the new build was "fantastic."
To find out more about the centre – including comments from those who have benefited from it – see today's Grimsby Telegraph.
The new hub is open to the public from 8.30am until 4.30pm Monday to Friday and for disabled children 4pm until 10.30pm.
The disabled children's club will also run on a Saturday 10am until 4pm.
