Over the years, "the Phil", as it is widely known, has treated Grimsby audiences to some of the most famous soloists of the day. They have included Peter Pears, Kathleen Ferrier and Elizabeth Schumann.
One of the many highlights of the Phil's history occurred during Alec Redshaw's distinguished term as chorus master.
For the end-of-year concert, the Phil will be joined by Janet Fulton, Manchester Camerata's principal percussionist, together with the winners of the Grimsby Philharmonic Society Cup, awarded each year to the most promising singer at the Cleethorpes Festival Of Music.
Abigail Pocklington, who won the cup in 2011 and Zoe Everatt, who won it in 2012, will be performing their own choice of songs.
The concert will begin at 7.30pm and tickets are priced at £9 and £8 for the circle, and £6 for the stalls. To book, call the Central Hall box office on 01472 355025.
