Pillana's victory remedy
FOUR players stood out amid blustery conditions during Grimsby Golf Club's Navy Cup – but doctor Pillana Suresh-Babu lifted the trophy.
The par competition against the course was made tougher for the 110 male entrants by the windy weather – club selection was difficult to judge.
Of the four top performing golfers, who shot par or better, Suresh-Babu took first prize – ahead of runner-up Clive Jenkins, Alan Peacock in third and Vince Pederson in fourth.
Meanwhile, Jane Peacock's Lady Captain's Day attracted a 50-plus strong field for a Stableford.
