Police nick a win against Caistor Rovers

THE Police recorded their first win of the Sunday League season when Daniel Houlton scored the only goal of their Division Two game against Caistor Rovers.

Another team to earn their first victory of the campaign were Pattesons (Nathan Crooks 2, Pete Fuller, Chris Gittens), who won 4-2 away to Immingham Town (Martin Barker, Daniel Robinson).

Goals were hard to come by as Healing and Crows Nest drew 0-0, as did Tap & Spile and BBS Couriers.

In Division Three, Buddies II FC (Andy Kirkley 2, Shane Jackson) beat Humberston Grosvenor (Matthew Cope, Robert Mair) 3-2.

Cleethorpes United (Daniel Bacon, Richard Croudson) won 2-1 against Millfields, with the latter dropping their first points of the season.

Cleethorpes Town went top after winning 2-0 away to Deportivo Empire. The Cricketers (Liam Morton 2, Danny Morton) picked up their first points when they beat Keelby Utd (Nicky Walters, Thomas Leeming) 3-2.

AFC Nitro also notched their first points with a 3-1 victory away to the hapless Bridge FC (Dave Coleman).

In Division Four, Crows Nest 2nds are going well. They beat SK Smugglers AFC 7-1 with goals from Marc Musgrove, James Petronzio, Ian Shipp, Louie Schofield, Chris Roy, Josh Shipp and Peter Topham.

FC United of Grimsby (Jason Brown, Josh Dellow, James Robinson, Jason Steer, David Tutty) secured their first points with a 5-2 defeat of RIS FC (Kyle French, Sean Smyth).

Ben Taylor scored for Blossom Way County, but they still cannot get a point, this time losing 2-1 to Tap & Spile 2nds. Tower Bucharest signalled their intent for the season when they defeated Wheatsheaf (Neil Kirwin) 2-1. Great Coates (Craig Steel) drew 1-1 with Cromwell Rovers (Sam Harwood).
