Pond suspended for Trophy tie
MARINERS defender Nathan Pond will sit out Saturday's FA Trophy encounter against Buxton after picking up his fifth booking of the season.
The Grimsby Town centre-half, pictured left, will serve a one-match suspension after kicking the ball away in the closing stages of the weekend's Conference victory over Braintree.

"That booking rules Pondy out for the FA Trophy game," confirmed Town joint boss Rob Scott.
"It's never great because we want to keep a settled back four, but it gives Ian Miller another opportunity to come in there and allows Simon Ford to be considered for that role as well.

"That's the point of having a good, competitive, strong squad.
"We'll keep looking to get clean sheets whoever is playing there."
