GRIMSBY Town accounts manager Steve Wraith said there is a "positive vibe" surrounding Blundell Park as season ticket sales continue to smash last year's totals.

After ten days on sale, 330 season tickets have now been sold compared with 231 at the same time last year.

That equates to £60,000 in sales so far, some £20,000 up on 12 months ago.

On the "tremendous" figures, Mr Wraith said: "Fans seem to have an expectation that this season is going to be a good one.

“I am really not enjoying watching those that comment that don't even support town & are only interested in mocking and upsetting the genuine fans of GTFC.They hang around like a bad smell pretending to be a Grimsby fan for a while (& there are quite a few of them),then they all chip in together with negativety, hoping it will disturb the harmony we have now,...probably laughing at their own jokes etc, while deep down they are clearly jellous ,or just have nothing better to do.

We know who you are x

Cya later Lincoln...see you soon Scunthorpe.

“We've just finished in our equal lowest position in the history of the club and several of our better players have left.
I'm hoping to finish in a top 10 position but I haven't spoken to anyone who is positive about our chances of a top 5 finish.”

“Probably the most exciting season at BP in years and I'm moving to the Bournemouth area and will be missing all the fun. Will catch some away games though. UTM”
