“i was made redundant one year ago, I used to work for Volvo as a hgv driver/mechanic. ive had my CV printed in the news paper and never got any replies. i know im lucky to be working for an agency, but im lucky to get 16hrs a week. It is not enough to pay the bills. My partners x does not pay any maintenance. Things are hard. Companies do not even bother to reply to my applications most of the time. Why would a company pay an agency £15/hour plus, rather than give me a job. The agencies only pay me minimum wages. If companies were encouraged to advertise jobs, then i would get a better wage and the government would not have to pay tax credits.”
