“if a pothole is n`t reported and an accident DOES happen , then the council cannot be held responsible. thatts how it works, i know from experience. people should report potholes to the relevant council, then the lawyers they employ can`t get them out of it. If the council is not aware of the problem, then how can they repair the problem. thats how they get away with it”

“Davel60, it does not say NELC went to fill in the potholes, read the story properly before you post”

“This is a tragedy and I feel for the man's family.
However, dave60 and bikerider1, the last time I looked Market Rasen wasn't anywhere near North East Lincolnshire.”

“I didn't say it was near NELC, I just said NELC should fill the potholes in our patch, not go to Market Rasen and fill theirs.”

“Come on NELC, you know what can happen if you hold the purse strings to tight.
Why don't you be a shining example for a change and be proactive instead of reactive? Fill all the pot holes in our patch now instead of waiting for another preventable tragedy.”

“Another fine example of the council letting every-one down. Call it murder and haul their sorry asses off to court!”
