STUDENTS at Immingham's Oasis Academy have been rewarded for their commitment to effort and positivity both in and out of school.

The initiative for Year 11 students saw four students each claim £150 to spend on an outfit or transport for their summer prom.

Lea Silkstone, Jennifer Byron, Aiden Pearce and Josh Wenman all scooped the top prize, with Stacey Gregory winning a free prom ticket in a prize draw for all students who attended at least one after school revision session per week.

Allan Albery, pastoral manager for Year 11 said staff at the Oasis Academy Immingham had been impressed with the students' efforts.

To find out more about the scheme – and why it has proved to be a big hit with the students – see today's Grimsby Telegraph.
