Help For Heroes charity night organisers Kay Wells, left, husband of Grenadier guardsman Keith Wells, who is in Afghanistan, and Samantha Foxcroft-Gladwell.
Half of the proceeds from the night will go to military charity Help For Heroes, with the rest helping to fund a special charity ball for returning troops and their families, which will be held in Sheffield later in the year.
Organiser of both events, Samantha Foxcroft-Gladwell – whose brother is currently serving in Afghanistan – said: "Friday's event is shaping up to be a really good night. We are going to have men's sponsored head shaving and waxing, beauty treatments, a karaoke and a charity raffle.
"We have some fantastic raffle prizes on offer – Humberside Airport have donated £150 of holiday vouchers and we have a meal voucher at the Dovedale Hotel in Cleethorpes up for grabs.
"Absolutely anyone is welcome to attend. We've got people from all over the country coming – even a lady all the way from Wales.
"The charity ball will be held in July at Sheffield United's stadium.
"It will give the returning soldiers and their families a great opportunity to get together and blow off some steam.
"We will be having an auction with donations from Coronation Street and Eurostar and, hopefully, a celebrity speaker."
